There have been eight new cases of COVID-19 today, all reported from a medi-hotel. There have been a total of 674 cases notified in South Australia.

Today’s cases include a child, a woman in her 20s, two women in their 30s, a woman in her 40s, a woman in her 50s, a man in his 20s, and a man in his 30s. All eight people acquired their infections overseas and have been in medi-hotels since their arrival.

A man in his 40s remains in the Royal Adelaide Hospital ICU, in a critical condition.

Queensland Health has identified exposure locations associated with positive cases of COVID-19. The full list of locations can be found on the  QLD Health website.

All South Australians who have symptoms of COVID-19 should get tested on the day symptoms appear. Symptoms include:

  • Fever or chills (in the absence of an alternative illness that explains these symptoms)
  • An acute respiratory infection e.g. cough, sore throat, runny nose, or shortness of breath
  • Loss of smell or alteration in the sense of taste
  • Diarrhoea and vomiting
