Interstate COVID-19 exposure locations
New COVID-19 public exposure locations have been identified in Victoria and New South Wales. Please continue to monitor the SA Health website for the latest information and advice at www.sahealth.sa.gov.au/covidcontacttracing.
Testing is an essential element of South Australia’s plan to protect the community during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Daily saliva testing of medi-hotel staff has been introduced to ensure cases of COVID-19 are identified quickly to reduce the potential for transmission. The daily saliva testing will be in addition to the weekly nose and throat swab testing.
COVID-19 case update
Today’s case is a man in his 20s who recently returned from overseas and has been in a medi-hotel since his arrival. Serology is underway to determine if this is an old infection.
