Covid Relief Call Centre
The COVID-19 Relief Call Centre can provide information and assistance with personal hardship support, accommodation support for people unable to achieve self-quarantining and accommodation for emergency services personnel that are required to quarantine but unable to do so at home.
The COVID-19 Relief Call Centre is available to help between 8.00 am and 8.00 pm every day.

Emergency Financial Assistance Program
Department of Human Services - Emergency Financial Assistance Program is a free confidential service for people experiencing financial difficulties anywhere across the state.
Eligible clients can receive food parcels, supermarket vouchers, referral to Foodbank SA or assistance with other cost of living concerns.
If you need help, it is as simple as finding your region from this list and phoning the related number.

The Cost of Living Concession helps those on low or fixed incomes with their cost of living expenses, whether that be electricity, water, gas or medical bills.
You may be eligible for other concessions or payments to help you with household and other expenses. Refer to the Concessions page for a list of SA services you may be eligible for.
The federal government’s JobKeeper payment will help keep more Australians in jobs and support businesses affected by the significant economic impact of the COVID-19. Under the JobKeeper payment, workers will receive a fortnightly payment of $1,500 (before tax) through their employer. Visit Jobkeeper payment to see if you are eligible.

Financial support for people with a disability

Accessing health services during COVID-19
People with a disability may have higher rates of health issues. The Department of Health has provided a list resources and support to help minimise health risks. Refer to The Department of Health’s Coronavirus (COVID-19) advice for people with disability
The Department of Health is helping vulnerable and self-isolated people to:
- Access prescription medication remotely through the Home Medicines Services. Refer to the Home Medicines Services factsheet for information.

SA Pathology has expanded its metropolitan and regional services. Refer to Expanded Domiciliary Service for COVID-19 Testing.
Mental health support
Department of Health – Head to Health provides links to trusted Australian online and phone supports, resources and treatment options.
Open your world is a new portal for Wellbeing SA – there are great resources to help connect with others and stay active and healthy.
SA Health has established a Virtual Support Network of services based locally in South Australia. - Mental Health Support - COVID-19
If you have, or know someone who has, a mental illness such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder or personality disorder, SA.GOV.AU has information about Intellectual disability and mental illness.
Protecting care facility residents
The Department of Human Services is working closely with the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) to ensure people with disability are prioritised in our response to COVID-19.
To protect people supported in Accommodation Services disability group homes, some visitor and activity restrictions will be in place:
- There will be restrictions in place for visitors in group homes and Northgate Aged Care facility
- There will be restrictions in place activities outside homes.

Support for people with disability during COVID-19
The Department of Social Services Disability Information Helpline provides information and referrals for people with disability who need help because of Coronavirus (COVID-19). Phone (free call): 1800 643 787.
If you are deaf, or have a hearing or speech impairment, you can also call the National Relay Service on 133 677.
